Last summer we stole the ocean, Kept it away in a jar. That way when we left the beach The memory wouldn't be far.
We watched it swirl and crash around, For only our eyes to see. And we decided to capture other moments ─ Oh, how thievish we would be.
I took the world's greatest canyon, You caught every single zoo. And together we traveled the rest of the world, Catching our other favorites too.
And then when we were finished, We sat back and stared down our collection. But if I looked into the glasses, I could see our misunderstood expressions.
So we returned each of our findings, Never to steal again, we said. Because though they were back, they still weren't gone, As they were always in our heads.
|sorry for the silly little poem ─ I haven't had time to write much lately. Anyway, I'm in such a good mood. Goodnight lovely people ♥|
