Café des Nattes, oh, I miss you And you miss me, I am sure Part of me is white and blue More moorish than the oldest moor
Pine nuts floating in my tea And love around, peppering the air From the top, all I see Are hearts floating everywhere
N.B. 1-I went twice to Sidi Bou Saiid. 1st time on my honeymoon, and the second was two years ago as part of a cruise. 2- Café des Nattes is the most famous Cafe in Tunisia. Built on top of a hill, it was nominated and won the most romantic spot on earth. 3- Almost all of the houses are white and blue there, famous for their moorish style. The moors were the Muslim inhabitants of Andalusia and, later, Mauritania. 4- Last but not least, the most famous drink in Sidi Bou Saiid is a perfumed tea with floating pine seeds.
