Slipping from view
Silently erected in despair
Prolonged visitation
Created by my mind and sweat
But it's all over now
Swept under the carpet of time
Building it up just to take it apart
Broken beyond conceivable repair
Bloody and bruised
Held up, tied down
Death comes so suddenly
You don't even realize when it's happened
Images flash before me
Like a second of eternity
Closing my eyes to all I know is real
