Music is a very important part of my life. Let me tell you why.

When I wake up, first thing I do is plug in my iPod with my iHome and choose a playlist. Oh yes...I have a lot of playlists. Every day I choose a different playlist, it depends greatly on my mood at the moment. You see, this is the first reason why music is great. It lets you cope with whatever your feeling at the time. Doesn't matter if you are sad, happy, angry, sleepy, or partying; there's always a song for every mood. Simply, awesome.

Next, I let the music play while I'm in the shower. Oh yes....I sing in the shower. Don't lie, we all do; but if you don't, I encourage you to do it. At least, it'll make you smile at how badly you sing.

After all my morning routine is done, the next thing I do is get in my car, forget about the radio and plug in the oh-so-important iPod. Yes, I have a playlist for the car too. Several, actually. What type of music, you might ask? Well, let's just say guitars, bass and drums are never missed. Let's leave it at that.

Then, I drive to the hospital and start my day routine, with patients and being all medical and stuff; but, this is about music, so let's skip this for now. I might squeeze a song or two during the day, but let's face it, I have other things to do, people to talk to, etc etc etc.

When I go back home, one of my favorite things to do is play guitar or bass. Hell, I even bought 'Rocksmith' for my PS3. Kill two birds with one rock, right? I get to play AND learn new songs. It's just great.

Fast forward to the night and pick an artist, an album, a genre, but pick something for me to listen to while I sleep.

So, as you might've noticed, I love music. Why do I love it so much? It's quite simple actually. It's one of those things that you can have with you every moment of every day in your life and it'll make you FEEL something. It doesn't matter if it makes you feel worse or better about something, it doesn't matter if you want to dance to a song or not. What music does is what we all look for in a relationship...love, passion, adventure, happiness, sadness, and the list goes on. It's up to you if you find music as interesting as I do, as inspiring as I do, as essential as I do.

Try it.

PS: don't get me wrong, we all still need a special someone hahaha
