Yesterday I could have cried,

I'm 38 years old and I spent the last 4 days dancing in a field in Hampshire,

Surrounded by kids with their bad manners and instant gratification,

Surrounded by temptation,

I should have learned by now!

Give me some herbal, mum and dad, and a strong cider ,

Give me pills, spills and an easy rider,

Rum and coke and some coke, why not,

Give me acid, special k, I'll take the lot.

I don't care, the sun is shining,

I don't care, I'm happy, smiling,

But the days of sunshine don't shine forever,

Those days of sunshine and hazy weather.

Good friends we laugh,

But we know we're scared,

We look at each other,

With our thining hair.

Each one among us,

Has a cross to bare,

Each one among us,

Sheds a faded tear.

We enter a church,

With a crazed man of a priest,

He tells us to leave and to fuck the deceased,

This man knows no morals,

So we laugh and stare,

This man carries another cross to bare.

Red, wild eyes,

He's covered in blood,

One sacrifice after another,

In his sacred hood.

But we laugh, laugh, laugh,

At this lost man of the cloth,

We laugh, laugh, laugh,

When the joke's on us.

BANG, reality bites,

BANG, look in the mirror,

You're and awful sight,

BANG, 38, and counting fast,

BANG, you know this living just can't last.

Yesterday I could have cried,

38 years and 4 days dancing in a field,

I feel better now,

I'm not as ill,

But I've got to stop myself,

Dancing in a field!
