I am a nightdweller, But it's light now and I'm lying in my bed, My head hurts as the alka seltzer slowly kicks in, And I start to remember what I said.

I am a nightdweller, I've been out for a night or two, I've roamed with the devil and his companions too. One after another, they take me under, A bolt of lightning, a clap of thunder.

Did I really do that? It makes me wonder, I should have been quicker, Should have made haste, But I guess there's no accounting for some people's taste.

The night it consumes me, It knocks on my door, One by one, consuming more, A drink, a thought, a lost conversation, Nightdwellers end up, In the strangest situations.

I dreamed I was in a bar last night, Maybe I was, Waxing lyrical about an injustice being done, Ranting and raving at the midnight sun. Closing time, closing down, come close to me, Nightdweller, surrender, it's time to flee.

Catch a cab, ride a wave, grab a sentiment, show me how to behave, There's no moral in my story, No maiden to save. Just say no, if you can, If you can't then shout about it, enjoy it, live it, love it, touch it, feel it from within, You're a nightdweller, youre blessed with original sin!
