"Her heart distorted frantically in the eerie night air", hand on her heart to scared to even breath. Was this a dream or was she really acting out a part in the night dwellers it was to scary to think about. Helen sat up in bed and wondered why she was having these so many nightmares these days. She thought to herself the many strange happening that had occurred over the last month.
If she had believed in the undead that might be the excuse for such strange dreams and happenings, but she didn't believe such rubbish, she shrugged of the downcast feeling and jumped out of bed.
After her morning shower she always felt better, she quickly dressed and went downstairs. As she approached the breakfast room a strange sensation swept over her, there was someone in her house, what should she do. She picked up the candlestick from the hall and made her way into the sitting room.
There was a man sitting in her granddads chair, he didn't seem hear or to notice her come into the room. This intruder made Helen feel threatened, she could see the back of this man he was a very large, wore a trilby and had on a raincoat. She did not know anyone who wore such cloths, they where too old fashioned even for her father.
Helen suddenly remembered that over the last month she had seen images of this man many times before or someone the same shape, build and wore the same type of cloths, but where was it that she had seen him, she could not remember.
Still holding onto the candlestick tightly she ventured further into the room, fear gripped her she must defend herself, he had been shadowing her for weeks, he must have some sinister motive for being in her house uninvited. Helen now held the candlestick firmly with both hands, she raised her arms high above her head, she took a deep breath and whacked the man over the head the candlestick burying deep into his skull.
After his fall from the blow he attempted to get up to get up so she whacked him again.... Once.....Twice ..... Three times, more till he lay still, she finally stopped thrashing him with the candlestick she was exhausted now and lay beside this man, now dead.
There was blood every, she looked in horror at what she had done, she was covered in blood. Oh My God she screamed, the sound of the screams rang loudly in her ears
Then she woke up it was all a dream, but somehow knew this was not the end of her nightmare.
