Now not wanting to jump on the soap box, I want to give my opinion as to whether I think education is a right or a privilege.
Back when I went to university, there were fees to study, but very low, total graduate debt was about £12,000. Now it's more like £32,000 - £38,000.
Does this now price people out of education? Well it could.
If we think about what we have read in books about education in the past, education was always a privilege only available for the rich.
As a member of the civilised western world, it has changed a lot. Education has been made available to everyone, that I believe is fair.
Now with the UK government changing opinions and deciding to charge more for education, they are making it harder for people to get a degree, they are making education a privilege again!!!
They government need to think about the future of the country and what they are doing with making education expensive.
Just my thoughts.
