-The shadow is a negative figure and is usually the antagonist.
-Not all antagonist are villains, sometimes he's a good guy who's goals disagree with the hero's.
- He is the worth opponent with whom the hero must struggle.
-The fight is to the end.
-The shadow sees himself as the hero (usually)
