@LittleKitten's challenge!
Hi, I'm Meg, though most of you will know me as Meggie2012. My real name is Megan but almost no one calls me that. I'm half Scottish, a quarter English and a quarter Irish! Since I'm both English and Scottish, this can cause some problems. A lot of kids at school don't like the English and when I go over to England - guess what? The kids don't the Scottish. Football games are also a problem. Funnily enough, I've never been to Ireland. I live in Scotland but I lived in Singapore for three years. I have a four person family. I've got a little brother called Tom who insists he's not 6 but 6 and a half. He's just like most little boys; kind of annoying, likes football and rugby, obsessed with Lego, in love with star wars and married to the computer and the wii. Strangely, he hates getting dirty. He's sweet though and he calls me Meggie so that's why I chose it for my Opuss name. My birthday is 21st October 2000 - I'll be 12 soon (whoop)! Favourite film: The Hunger Games. And I'm a sucker for all things Disney. ;) Favourite books: The Chaos Walking Trilogy, The Hunger Games and Divergent. Favourite Singer: At the moment it's Avril Lavigne. Hopeful Future Career: Author. Favourite Restaurant: Waggamamma Favourite Subjects: English and Product Design. Least Favourite Subjects: Maths, German and Sewing. I find Maths and German incredibly boring and I completely suck at sewing. My failed attempt at a strawberry looks like a squashed Christmas pudding.... Favourite colours: They change all the time, but at the moment they're...blue, black, red, silver and green. Favourite animal: Elephant. I don't have a pet but I wish I did. I love dogs especially although I wouldn't mind a pet elephant either... (hint hint). I love all music, so I wouldn't be able to decide on a favourite piece. But I love the songs: We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together - Taylor Swift. Our Song - Taylor Swift. Wings - Little Mix. I don't like Little Mix but I love this song. Sk8er Boi - Avril Lavigne. Yes, it came out when I was 2, but I still love the song! Beer Fear - Lucy Spraggan. Great lyrics, catchy tune, fab singer. I would say I'm quite sensitive and I like to drift away from the crowd. Some would say I'm a bit boyish sometimes, but I like to be all giggly and girly occasionally. I'm not a girly girl but I wouldn't consider myself a tomboy. My mum commented that I was more like a boy than my brother was - not sure if that was supposed to insult me or him...? At school I'm mainly known as the bookworm. I've noticed that when I'm with someone in my year who I don't know that well, the first thing they say to me is: "So Meg...what are you reading?". I don't think they can think of anything else to say. I'm more than just a bookworm. Sure, I love to read and write, but I love to run, swim and play tennis too. I play two instruments (piano and clarinet, if you're interested) and I like to chat and be around friends. I don't wear make up and I don't care what I wear (much to my mum's despair) and I like to go outside and get wet and dirty. I love reading and writing but that isn't everything about who I am. And who I am is me, I guess. Frankly, I don't have any choice in the matter, so I'd better get used to it and learn to love who I am. ;)
