If you think about it, the definition of 'love' has changed a lot. William Shakespeare wrote Romeo and Juliet as a true love story, but is that how things really were back then?

Love was simply arranged. This man was your husband, and you were told to love him. That was it. Done.

Sure, there were exceptions. But were there many?

Then.. You fast forward through time. To where love meant love. Real, true love was what every little girl hoped to find one day.

That time didn't last for long.

Now, we have 'couples' who are 12 years old and telling of their love for each other.

Is that right?

No, it's not. Love is not simply 1+1. Love is two halves of a puzzle, two people who are right for each other in every way.. Love is two best friends.

We have all those cheesy romance movies and books.. But does that ever happen in real life?

Not usually. Because people say the words too soon, and it doesn't mean anything. If you both have to work to say it, and you know it's perfect.. Then you mean it. Even if they're not 'The One', you still loved them. That doesn't make a difference.

Yes, I do believe in true love. But I also believe that people give their hearts away too soon before they find it.
