I ran home. There was nothing left to do.

As I walked up the driveway, I heard arguing. My parents. Even when I was dead, they couldn't stop arguing. I paused outside.

"LISTEN TO ME NOW, REBECCA. MY DAUGHTER WILL BE CREMATED SO I CAN KEEP HER NEAR ME."

"JOHN, SHE WOULDN'T HAVE WANTED THAT. SHE'S NOT A WITCH, IM NOT BURNING HER. WE'LL BURY HER NEXT TO MY DAD IN GALWAY. SHE WAS CLOSE TO HIM, I THINK SHE'D PREFER IT."

Great. The argument was about me.

Honestly, I didn't care what happened to my body. I hated it while I was alive, and I hated it now.

I looked in the window. Liam was still there, looking like he was concentrating. My mom was crying while she was shouting at my dad. My dad just had rage on his features.

Then Liam stood up. "Wait," he said calmly, silent tears streaming down his face, as he turned to look at my body. "I don't think she'd have liked either of those options," he said. Oh, he knew me so well. "Galway would be too far away for her.. She'd have loved to be buried away from here. But close." He got it. He was right. "Maybe where the rest of her grandparents live."

I was in shock. How did he know me so well? I had to let him know that he was right.. But nothing I touched made a sound. I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around him, focusing only on him. He felt it. I know he did. He started slightly, but then he knew it was me. He had to. "That is exactly what she wanted," he whispered to my disbelieving parents. "Please let her have her wish."
