Cinderella scrubbed the walls and made the table shine,

She cleaned and cleaned her very best until there was no grime,

Then, one Spring day, she heard the news,

There was to be a ball,

Of course, despite her lack of shoes,

She begged to have it all,

A knocking came, soon, at the door,

And then the line that won its lore,

She said "I'm your Fairy Godmother",

And a fairy like no other,

Leather belt below black shirt,

But Cindy wasn't on alert,

This Fairy standing in her home,

Had dashed to ground a magic stone,

A cloud of light,

And when it cleared,

The Fairy had quite disappeared,

Along with her step-sister's jewels,

And all her diamonds on the stool,

Poor Cindy was left in despair,

Without a party dress to wear.
