The time has come to announce the #household results. I would first like to thank all the 26 Opussians who entered. I can truthfully say that it was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make and took me over 9 hours of reading/evaluating to come to a conclusion. I'm really sorry if you didn't win but I marked them blindly and as impartial as I could so as not to be influenced. I loved every single entry and wish I could give them all first place, but, sadly, I can’t, so I’ve chosen the top 10. Here are the results of the #household competition:

In third place, there’s @ckahn, for her amazingly emotive and empathic piece, Abigail Doesn’t Live Here Anymore. There’s also @nom, with the brilliantly written (and slightly cheeky) Bernard’s Elephant. And, finally, there’s @brownowl2012, with the skillfully forged Time, a flawless example of shape poetry.

In second place, there’s; @burrfoot, with his beautifully emotional poem, A Better Day; @Thalia, with the wonderful personification piece, The Clock Shop; @dodged, with his hauntingly crafted horror story, Tick; @HeatherAnne, with her flawlessly romantic poem, Clockwork Loving; @madhatter, with the powerful fiction story, Grandmother Clock; and @littleone, for her wonderful twist on first person personification, with Complaining Clock.

Everyone’s entries were brilliant and magical and, as I’ve said before, I wish I could have chosen them all. However, there is one piece that really caught me eye and stuck in my mind the whole way through:

In first place, the winner, with his perfectly emotional write, Don’t Change, is @VikingHorn! It’s filled with powerful words and emotive vocabulary, all tied together with a silk smooth rhythm that is soft, flowing and captivating. I love it! So, without further ado, I pass on my Olympic themed baton to @VikingHorn- congratulations!
