(Based On My True Story)

I saw you that night, in the Winter, High on something, quite drunk too, Took the seat right next to me, I'd never even spoke to you, Ten minutes left until my stop, Just sitting on the empty bus, The top floor, no CCTV, I knew, then, you'd been stalking me, You pulled a lighter from your pocket, Pressed me down and gave me threats, I said I'm sorry, have to go now, Tripped you up and quickly fled, Every day for weeks on end, I sat where everyone could see, And, still, you carried on your stalking, Always sitting facing me, One row over, one seat up, Directly facing where I sat, You'd look at me with frequent glances, Hid your face when I looked back, Then came the day, you got off first, Faked going to the doctors, I saw you waiting, in the lot, Just one stop before I got off, I saw you, then, run after me, In more of a brisk walk, You followed me, behind the trees, Continuing to stalk, When I reached home, I locked the doors, I phoned a friend, And then the cops, They couldn't get the information, To put right the situation, He stopped, though, on the bus, at least, But not in town, he didn't cease, I saw him just the other day, Standing, stone still, in my garden, Then I met him at my door, Of course he had the perfect pardon, Looking for something he'd lost, I quickly hid a knife, In my clothes, I had my phone, All set on 999, He left, soon after, With his friends, Never saw him again, Of course I'm nervous, on alert, That other day was yesterday.
