I am a fish, I would make a nice dish, But a dish I shan't make, For I talk, goodness sake, As a pet, I would be a great wish.
I talk through the night, And throughout the daylight, Within my small bowl, Upon a white pole, I'm hidden away from all sight.
I shall find out quite soon, That I am a raccoon, And then I shall find, That I'm not of this kind, But, instead, I am just a lagoon.
A babbling brook, Why don't you take a look, For I still have a bowl, To keep my thoughts whole, And a fish's mind, yes, yes, I took.
So, in case you're confused, Or a little amused, I'm a fishy lagoon, I can't be a baboon, But it's nice to see people bemused.
