An ode...to you.
A butterfly emerges With a bright light blinding It's magical feat to see. The ground doesn't tremble And the butterfly doesn't need Any proclamation or others of the creed. Just needs to live and breathe And breed, praying one day it will be freed.
The cycle of nature moves on And the butterfly's doesn't want To watch her children suffer... Watch their unquenchable thrist And insatiable hunger, As they eat...and eat and eat.
And then they become a teen, Withdrawn, never to be seen. Want a room so make one themselves So they can grow up like their momma of self's.
Someday wonder who you'll be, Just dream and dream and dream. Wish all you can That your adventure will begin And hold fast to that hope. Your momma will promise you, That someday you'll be free And fly away as your were intended to be.
Something's can't change, But they too change . When you do things that nature doesn't understand... You aren't just different, You are you.
So the cycle goes on till someone breaks it, And shows the world how small a thing makes it. The world is still the same Just less in it. So define a new one, Give more for it.
So 20 years in the future when someone asks We can say. We didn't stand up or fight like hell. We just did the impossible Stood and fought after the finishing bell.
And when nature stood up for revolution All we did was be inspired As one look forward To fulfil our designation.
