It is the year 2012 of the imperial calendar. Britannia looms as the worlds only super power, the E.U. is in a speculated decline after failing to protect ally states, The Russian Federation holds on to old allies and splendid isolation, The people's republic of China is on the brink of revolution after occupying nearby states for more than a decade and a band of individual neutral nations hold on to their sovereignty by a series of complicated alliances.
In this timeline the British empire does not fall into decline, nor do any European scuffles causing WW1 or WW2 occur. Instead a different series of events have occurred causing strict lines of tension between world powers. The empire has expanded to include not only the territories at the height of the British empire but also all of north, central and south America.
The assassination of the royal family during a world tour of the empire caused a great disturbance, weakness had been shown and loyalties questioned. With the old European royal houses being the prime suspects a new blood line was found and they renamed the house and country, Britannia.
Parliament was reinvented and for some time an absolute monarchy was restored, this paved the path for unhindered progress in terms of technology and war due to the vision seen by the Emperor at the time...........
