But not hoping.

I may be smiling,

But inside crying.

I may be stupid,

But I can be Cupid.

I may repel you,

But at least I'm true.

I may look gleeful,

But I'm also fearful.

I may look rough,

But I'm tough.

I may be old,

At least I'm bold.

Look deeper-

I'm a keeper.
