2 July 2012
It sounds stupid I know, I have gone my whole life without this boy, not even knowing him and now I am worrying that I won't see him for a week. It was week, not like it was a month or 2 months, or never again, just a week, it would be over before we knew it. But there was the trust issue, anytime Luis or I went away, I was always he would get another girl and I would be left knowing absolutely nothing time and time again. I know Connor had promised he was different and I was sure e was, but there was still something inside me that was worried I would be hurt again.
We spent all the time we had, together. We still had to tell our parents, they hadn't even met Connor, and I still had to meet his parents, then we needed to tell them we were together. But they were going to find out sooner or later and sooner was probably better otherwise they would worry there was something about him I was trying to hide and e was bad and I shouldn't be with him, and I didn't want them stopping me. So together we walked around the hotel trying to find them, my parents first. The final place we looked, we found them. In the café where Connor and I had spoken for hours the first day we met. My parents were with another couple but I couldn't see who. He said his were too, so we decided to split and talk to our own parents and tell them that we were in a relationship, then take them over to meet our other half. He let go of my hand and started walking, but he was walking the same way as me. I looked at him confused and said
'I thought we were going to see our parents on our own first, why are you coming with me?'
'I'm not, my parents are sitting right there talking, why are you coming with me?' he replied
'There your parents?! That's mine sitting with them!' I exclaimed
So we carried on walking, together to see both of our parents. Once we got to the table it was his dad who spoke first. I could see where Connor's looks and body shape came from, his dad was a very masculine man, who had very defined features and was definitely an older version of Connor. I thought to myself if this is what I have to come, I will be fine.
'It's about time, we all knew you two would get together eventually' He grinned
'What, I don't understand dad, you all know each other?' Connor asked confused
'Hi, I'm Rick, and I am Jami's father, I used to work with your father before he moved on to bigger and better things. We have been talking about you and Jami and knew that one day the two of you would fall for each other and when we happened to run into each other here in St. Lucia, we were sure that it would happen here, and now it has' my dad interrupted
So they had always planned for us to be together and now we were they were happy. Well that was fine by me, I couldn't bare to have my parents and my boyfriend hate each other.
'I don't know about you, but as far as I'm concerned this calls for a congratulations dinner, would you be kind enough to grace us with your presence at dinner tonight?' My mum asked Connor's parents, trying to put on a posh voice
Everyone burst out laughing including my mum but they still agreed to it with his mum replying
'Why certainly my dear friend, it would be my pleasure' in her attempt of a posh voice
'Well, now that's sorted, I'll race you to the pool…'Connor looked at me happily
'You're on' I chuckled
And we ran straight out but before I got a chance to get going he caught me in his arms and ran carrying me there like a baby before throwing me in…
