(inspired by @RichWithey comment to me and his political poems :)
I'm not a puppet,
I'm actually a human.
I have a heart,
that beats a plenty.
Not full of wood,
Full of blood,
Have a head,
With some intellect.
Not stupid,
Just young,
But even I can see what happens to our country in your hands...
No strings,
Have joints,
A voice,
To make a choice.
Eyes to see,
My money go,
Change from hand,
To hand,
Across different country lands.
Ears to hear,
Your hollow voice call out,
To every man,
To gather support,
you promise him dues,
That will never be fulfilled.
Lies upon lies,
A democracy is a good idea,
But it's peak was
When religion was its only nemeses.
Now it's fighting itself,
A fickle minded thing,
That never makes a clear decision about seemingly anything.
Too much left,
Communism is just a good theory...
Too much right,
And a fascist dictator is what we have created...
All these politics are good on paper,
It's the people who install
them that are the traitors,
They shout out that our interests are what counts,
But really it's like cats and mice,
We're left with feelings of just being messed about with...
So here's a reminder to those in charge,
We're not puppets in strings,
We are human beings!
