It's cold and dark. There's no warmth in this life. All I wish for is a blanket so I won't freeze to death.
They say we're better than in the past, but I see no evidence for this.
It's a lie they just repeat in their heads, so they don't look at me and feel pain and regret.
They say out loud "Well it's their own fault their in this situation!" Like I'm a bum that's done drugs, decided to flunk school and not work for a living depending on them!
Well here's the thing, I was a doctor, I worked painfully hard for a living. But then one thing led to another, and the government screwed me over. Job cuts. Money loss. And politics got in the way of my helping people.. So Now I'm just another homeless on the street.
So here's my word to society, Think about how most of us ended here, please don't just walk on past and say we deserved it! One act of kindness can go along way...
