The darkness surrounded, paralysing her mortal skin. Her breathing increased rapidly as panic started to set in, as she realised the monsters from the fairy tales aren't as unbelievable as they seem.
The kill could go one of two ways, First adrenalin sets in and she runs, the chase was always as sweet as the kill OR the fear is too great and over powers the adrenalin causing her to be an easy target for my poison kiss.
They were always easy to charm, a few compliments here and there and I was the prince charming they had always dreamt of, but really I was always the monster that was the cause of their nightmares.
But by the time they realised...it was always too late. A true cliche if ever there was one!
I was getting bored quickly. No movement or sound. She wasn't as interesting as the others, so I creeped up behind her and rested my fingers gently around her neck, caressing her pale skin causing her to whimper in fear of her life.
"Such a pretty one, shame you had to wilt in my grasp so quickly"
With a flick of my wrist I snapped her neck, letting her drop lifelessly to the floor.
"such waste of good food" a voice emerged from the shadows.
My head snapped up to pinpoint the location of the voice. "WHO ARE YOU?" I bellowed, drawing my power around me incase of an attack.
"I!...I am no one but a humble creature unlike yourself, searching for prey to quench my thirst"
"and how long have you been studying me O'humble one" I sneered
"Long enough" they answered.
"and what do you want with me?"
"To join with you!"
I smiled, " What a mad, ludicrous idea, no night creature of our kind ever joins forces!, so I ask you again. what do you want!"
"I have spoke nothing but truth to you O'great one! I feel that our joining would increase chances of domination over other night creatures and humans"
I pondered this. "I see the benefits for you, but what's in it for me"
"To increase in power, status and to gain a reputation that no creature would ever dare to challenge you O' great lord, I have more numbers that would be willing to join behind your command"
I bared my fangs, "and what would I need with imbeciles!"
"everything for power" they replied
"it's seems you have made a good point"
"so we have an agreement"
"it seems we do" I nodded.
