My eyes, they're glossy, As you bid me farewell, I love you so much more Than you and I could ever tell.
In this one moment, I think back to when, I had first met you, And I felt my heart open.
The first thing I noticed, The thing that got me hooked, Was your soft blue eyes, And the way you just looked.
Years passed, and we became, The best of friends, We couldn't be tamed.
And when I got older, And the boys came and went, You were always there beside me, Whenever I needed to vent.
Finally, we realized, That we were meant to be, So you held my hand and kissed my lips and said I was beautiful me.
Now here we are again, And you're about to leave, I hide my tears the best I can, You're going to follow your dreams.
"Goodbye," I whispered, As you turned to leave and go on through, And then I let the tears fall and thought, "Never again will I find someone like you."
