If I betrayed your every trust Lied about you to everyone I know Would you dedicate your life to my cause?
If I were dying years after losing my ability to have children to protect you Would you stop lying to me?
If I were dying after losing someone I loved because I prioritized protecting you over the life I had with him Would you stop lying about me to everyone you know?
If I believed all your lies about all your lies When you told me you loved me and have always loved me and that you had been waiting for me all these years And once again chose you instead of choosing to live my own life If I left behind everything I owned as you asked Would you stop keeping your proclaimed love for me a secret?
How stupid am I to think you would ever respond to love and sacrifice With love and sacrifice of your own for the bird in your hand.
