I have so many aches and pains already, But the best are those that come from being wrapped around your sholders. I am thankful they are broad enough to carry me.

Just a little longer, please You heard the doctor say that for my disease there is no cure, No treatment, And that it progresses quite quickly.

Sit and rest. May I fix you a cup of tea for a moment? I've lived this long, albeit interrupted life, for four decades now, In three states, Perhaps I might tell you some of what I learned?

What's that? It's time to go? Yes, I think I can wrap myself upon your shoulders a little longer.

Do you hear that? The sound of raindrops in puddles? The breeze teasing you as it plays with you hair? The bird cooing its melody over and over , , , fervently , , , Purposefully , , , Wondering, does he have time to listen now that his shoulders are barren?
