It can't been seen or felt
It can't be heard or smelt
It just lingers in the air
A presence just there
By day it lays dormant
By night relishes in torment
It seeks out a soul
To make it whole
No one ever knows why
Some people die
You won't have time for fright
Nor time to fight
One night you'll go to sleep
Your soul will be its to keep
You won't be aware
That your pulse is not there
Your body is just a shell
Your souls in hell
They'll find you in bed
Well and truly dead
I'm writing this verse
About this deadly curse
We all go to bed well
Who wakes up?...I can't tell
How did you like this story?

Writing has been my friend since a teenager...I laugh, cry, think, pretend, smile as I do it. I feel that I communicate better through my writing as in person I can appear a tad scatty.
