Reject Reg was an only son
Lived with his mum and dad
He had two dogs to call his own
As not one friend he had
Reject Reg was not thick
Rather he just didn't have a clue
He had no idea if his ways
Were the wrong or right thing to do
As no one gave poor Reject Reg
Any time of their day
Nor any of their night
If you get what I'm trying to say
On his 20th birthday
His dad said "go and get yourself a bird"
When he returned with a canary
His dad was stuck for words
They worried sick for Reject Reg
Who would take him under their wing?
For no one saw the man inside
Just a stupid boyish thing
When Reject Reg reached 24
His dad suddenly died
His mum and him were heartbroken
In each others arms they cried
His mum was more so worried
Who would take care of them now?
But Reject Reg was determined
To be a real man somehow
When the will was read
A shock for Reject Reg
His dad had left him some cash
He had a lot of wedge
He went and bought new things
Clothes, shoes, music and aftershave
He had a new haircut too
Flowers for his mum he gave
Reject Reg realised something
Suddenly people wanted to be friends
Girls were asking him out
But he knew it was all just pretend
He persuaded his dear mum
That it was time to move house
He wanted to leave the old him there
And make his dear mum proud
They moved far away
Reject Reg no longer his name
He is married with kids
But underneath he is still the same
He has it all now
With his mum so very proud
He is still that dear boy inside
Now a young man walking round
