Shopping Is Not For Me

I went on a bit of a spree
Looking for things to buy for me
I needed a dress, underwear too
But shopping always leaves me blue
The ever so helpful staff
In a shop?...don't make me laugh
The hustle and bustle
Makes me want to tussle
We're all rushing around
Covering miles of ground
Like mad little ants
When all I want is pants
Yes I like to look nice
But for a fraction of the price
I'm a car booty queen
At many I'm seen
I love quirky and retro
Vintage and boho
I don't care what's in fashion
But my clothes are a passion
Nope shopping is not for me
I'd rather have a vodka martini

Writing has been my friend since a teenager...I laugh, cry, think, pretend, smile as I do it. I feel that I communicate better through my writing as in person I can appear a tad scatty.

I love them all, Big and small. Round or square, I don't care. Brown, cream, black, red The colour don't mess with my head. I like the posh ones, The "oh gosh!" ones.

Urge

It's late at night. But I had an urge to write. Sometimes I get these itches. Ripping me like broken stitches. So I make a rhyme. To past the time. Or because words start to flow.

More Then Words

It's all just words, And it's all just ink. But it's really much more, A lot more come to think. It's letters and sentences, It really is my heart. Writing is my future, My end and my start.

There Aren't The Words.

I don't know how to put my words down with ink and script. It's like my pen has all run dry, it's suddenly tight-lipped. I try to make me literate, to tell you how I feel.

Living In Rhymes.

I don't think in music. I don't think in lines. I don't think in canvases. No. I think in rhymes. I don't speak in eloquence. I don't speak in prose. I don't speak in coloured tongue.

Doodlewords

My poems are just doodlewords, They don't take long to write. I observe the world around me, By ear, by nose or sight. By then my brain has started, To note a line or two.
