This spooky short story does contain content that some may find upsetting...I'm sorry if it does.
Jenna was a young girl having a good time. She loved to go out, get drunk, get high...she was having a good time.....then one day, she realised she was pregnant.
Jenna was in complete denial of her being pregnant, so she continued to get drunk, get high, and have a good time.
Halloween was coming up and there was to be the biggest party ever at one of Jenna's friends house.
Jenna was on form that night, drinking herself into oblivion and getting very high......but then the pains began....as the night wore on they got worse and worse.
She ended up in A+E as she was bleeding, the doctors told her she was approximately 12 weeks pregnant but unfortunately she had lost the baby.
Jenna tried to forget that night the best way she could so she continued to live her life as she did before. However as the weeks went on she began to feel strange. She couldn't put her finger on it but she felt.......different.
The months passed and people began to make comments about her weight, Jenna couldn't understand it either.
As the following Halloween approached, Jenna was increasingly feeling strange. This year she decided to stay at home instead and watch a film.
She was watching Pretty Woman when the pains began, they were getting worse and worse. A few hours later the pain was so terrible, she rang her friend, who then went round to her house, taking one look at her, Jenna's friend took her to the hospital.
The doctor took one look at Jenna and asked whether she was pregnant. Jenna was screaming no....the doctor, nurses and Jenna's friend could see her belly was moving, they could see what looked like a baby's foot and then a hand, then the belly would change into a weird shape as though the baby had completely turned.
Jenna was hysterical, the doctor decided to do an ultrasound.
The scan showed nothing.....there was no baby.......
The doctor, nurses and Jenna's friend could not explain what they had seen.
Jenna continued to be showing that she was in the final stages of labour, after an hour of pushing.....there was no more pain.
On the ward, Jenna was woken up by the sound of a baby crying, she went to it.
Jenna was found in a side room, she appeared to be cradling a baby, when the midwife got closer, she could see there was no baby in her arms.
This continued for a couple of days and eventually Jenna was admitted to a psychiatric unit, where it is said that she continues to cradle her baby and is even seen to nurse her baby.
