I met her in a classroom She was a teacher that inspired I'd worked with many She was special, someone I admired
She had a gentleness It put the children at ease So wonderful at teaching Her pupils aimed to please
She taught with a zest So animated and fun I was in complete awe She was as bright as the sun
A truly wondrous soul Always a smile on her face She taught as she was With style and sweet grace
You only had to meet her Just the once to know That with her teaching Your child would grow
A beauty inside and out Everyone loved her so Which is why it was hard When it was your time to go
You can meet people in life And not give them a thought But you had something special That can't be borrowed or bought
You radiated wherever you went A special person indeed Now you are no longer here Your warmth we now grieve
I not only speak for myself You will be so sorely missed So with warm thoughts I say goodbye and blow you a kiss
