Belonging, is it something we all do? Do we all run round Trying to just belong? Does our sole purpose to survive Revolve around belonging? To belong is to be someone A somebody somehow But what is, to belong really? Is it you belong some place? Do you belong to someone? Why place a tag on yourself To belong to someone? Is it not enough to belong to you? No one owns you No one ever should To belong to just one place Deprives yourself of all The wondrous places in the world Take a little taste of the fruit If you like it, devour it whole If you don't like it's taste Move onto the next new fruit The truth is we all belong To something, someplace, someone But to keep trying to belong Only leaves you feeling empty As though you don't fit in Let the belonging just happen Live your life how you choose to Not how others think you ought to
