CHAPTER 13 Beginning of the end
Mickey and Derek decide to visit Jacobs mum, she was crucial to the next part of their plan. They needed her and she would think that she needed them. Mickey looked like he was walking on his own as Derek was invisible to the human eye, he couldn't yet be seen. Later they will realise he has escaped but it will be too late then, but for now they walk along together in devilish silence.
They approach the white picket fenced house, with flowers all around the wooden veranda, it actually gives the false impression that this is a happy home, once it probably was but since the death of Jacob and his father, the unhappiness and grief oozes from the foundations of that pretty little house.
Mickey knocks on the door. He stands and looks at Derek and smirks, he felt excited, this was going to be so easy and delicious.
They can hear footsteps and then they see Jacobs mum stood by the door, she peeps out the window to the side of the door and almost looks relieved to see that it is Mickey at the door with a bunch of yellow roses in his left hand.
She opens the door
"Hello Mrs.Sampson, I don't mean to trouble you but I've brought you some flowers and I wanted to say how sorry I am about Jacob"
"umm...that is very kind Mickey"
There was an awkward silence and Mickey glanced at Derek who was by his side.
"I would invite you in my dear but I'm happier on my own these days" Jacobs mums eyes were purple and sore and had sunken into her sockets, the grief was etched on her face.
"I understand that Mrs Sampson but I have some information about Jacob, I think you should know before I tell anyone else"
"WHAT DO YOU KNOW MICKEY?"
The calm Mrs Sampson was gone in a flash, the desperation made her voice shout.
"I'm sorry Mickey, I don't mean to scare you, you had better come in"
Mickey and Derek smiled, this was going to be so very easy, the difficult part was going to be getting in or so they thought, as she still had her human soul. Once inside, the curse and it's evil would nourish itself with this soul. The curse could grow in its new host and be able to spread. Mickey and Derek were not strong enough, their souls a mere tasty morsel and besides it was getting too predictable being in their bodies. A new host and a new start, everyone will understand why Mrs Sampson is ready to leave this cursed and evilly twisted town after losing her precious little boy and her loving husband. Those damned humans have no idea that Derek and Mickey was all part of the plan to finally be free of that cave that had kept the curse imprisoned for so long, those boys were just a vessel to escape in. The next part of the plan is going to be equally easy.

Meanwhile on the outskirts of town, a man stands on, looking over the damned place that he once called home. He was cleanly dishevelled and had a big back pack containing all his life's belongings. He and his bag had travelled the globe to find answers to what had killed his entire family. His mission and his destiny has taken twenty two years but he now has the answers he was looking for and he's here ready to fight the evil curse that has haunted and taunted him all those years.
