As I sit here alone in the dark With just the flicker of the TV My eyes feel oh so heavy My mind is all so hazy
I want to rest my weary head Let my body just relax and sigh Let go of all that's in my brain Worries on my shoulder...goodbye
My eyes are so so very tired They want to shut a while To fall into slumbers arms Go to sleep like that of a child
My eyes won't close They fight the will to sleep I've tried reading and writing I refuse to count any sheep
So I'm still sat here, in the dark The flicker of the TV, still on I feel sleep is really calling me So I won't be here for long
