Upon a hill there was a lone brick Well
It was steeped in folklore, many would tell
How it was cursed and was a damned place
Folks steered clear, only walked by in haste
Generations were told to never go near
The Well was alone but commanded fear
The tale told of a family murdered by their own
Into the Well, their eight bodies were thrown
From their watery graves, they cursed the well
All living souls will pay, their souls will rot in hell
For no one came, as their children screamed
Ripped from their beds as they soundly dreamed
Accused of being a family of Witches, a falsehood told
What they did to them, would make your blood run cold
So into the Well they met their gruesome end
The wrongs of the towns folk would never mend
Decades later the towns folk were still aware
Of the Hell Well on the hill, they had to take care
Although the children of generations new
Were told to not go upon the hill, some still do
They would dare each other, to prove they are brave
But the Hell Well was vengeful and living souls it craved
The dare began to get out of hand, they had to take a look inside
So the boy who said he'd do it, next to the Well he stood beside
He drew closer and his heart thumped so very loud
At the bottom of the hill, his friends stood as a crowd
Upon the wall he placed his now shaking hands
His legs were shaking too, making it hard to stand
He peered into the dark depths before his scared eyes
He looked away, that's when he heard the eerie cries
He couldn't stop himself, leaning in, to take a look
A set of eyes were seen in the depths, blinking, he shook
Just as he summoned the courage to actually move
He thinks his braveness he has definitely proved
But his thoughts were stopped, by a feeling so cold
Watery cold hands now had his, in a cursed and evil hold
His friends told of what they saw from the bottom of the hill
Their friend was pulled into the Well, his screams they hear still
They were too scared to go to him, as he was pulled into the Well
With the others, his soul is now cursed and damned in Hell
