Marilyn's not dead She just felt she had to go No more wanting To be a puppet in a show She grew so tired Of having to be so perfect The emptiness inside Made her ask..is it all worth it? So sick of it all Having to pout her perfect lips Having men ogle her Always doing that wiggle with her hips She just couldn't do it She knew she couldn't live this lie Where was Norma Jean? She never wanted to say goodbye So she had in mind What she wanted to do that night Lay to rest poor Marilyn So Norma Jean could live her life She knew what she must do One more role she had to play All of the Kennedy's They would have to pay She had the pictures taken The famous autopsy shots The final nail in Marilyn's coffin The pics were made to shock She had to do it well So the world believed she'd gone Norma Jean could live her life To be right, she had done wrong Where she went from there Nobody ever did know? But I'm thinking just maybe It's where all the legends go
