Communication was in a lockdown
Smiles replaced by that of a frown
We knew what we wanted to say
Only pride stood stubbornly in our way
Yet when all is said and done
I'm yours and you are my one
A new understanding replacing all fears
The sun now smiles through clouds of tears
My journey ahead I'll take you by my side
Any storms I encounter, together we'll ride
For we made a promise, a solemn vow
I'll hold onto that, I promise you now
