While we stand over the bridge of life A few whispered words you spoke Telling me of the love you felt On inner tears I now choke
The lilies on the pond smiled to me Smiling of the fate they had in store Clapping in glee for the love of us The water rippled some more
We hold hands, never letting go For if we did we couldn't breathe An intricate piece of loving Of togetherness we have weaved
