Newtown is a sea of tears The ripples felt in the world They weep for their babes Into a ball of shock they are curled

A nobody, took their babes A nobody is what he should remain Can someone who is so evil Be deserving of his spoken name?

I'm dumbfounded and broken I cannot bring myself to watch the news For it's painful, it's all too much So to not hear and see, is what I choose

Time and time again in this world It's children who suffer the most For those who are left behind Their pain is an invisible host

I don't confess to know the answer All I hear my heart saying is why? I don't want to see or hear tragedy There's always something to make me cry

The world possesses such beauty Yet the ugliness of sick, twisted souls Tarnish and stain all that is there Their actions, to hurt, their only goal

This week alone I saw a woman Beating her 12 month baby girl It had gone viral on the web I was shaken, my mind in a twirl

Then I'm told of more sick doings An abuser of a precious baby The baby died from her injuries Her abuser alive in jail, how can it be?

I often wonder what is around the corner? Do any of us ever really know? Will our own paths cross with evil? What would happen if it does so?

So for now I'll hold my babies close Knowing they are safe here with me Thinking of all those innocent babes Taken away so very tragically

It happens everyday, every hour Each minute and every second How much more can we take? Evil minds are a force to be reckoned

Here we had Dunblane, I never forgot For each child I lit a candle of hope Today I shall do the very same By way of remembering, trying to cope

I hold all those affected in my thoughts And even closer in my pained heart Though we are all strangers from afar The worldwide sorrow may cite a new start

To remember those who lives have been brutally taken and those who have been affected by their loss....it's safe to say the world grieves with you
