Since a teenager I thought they rocked Flitted between crushes on Mike D and Ad Rock No Sleep Til Brooklyn started my affair with them all Into their naughty for the time rhymes I did fall My mum tried with all her useless might To prevent me from listening to Fight For Your Right My faves are now too many to mention But I'll name a few to get your attention Girls, Slow and Low and She's On It Got me chomping on my musical bit What got me all hot and damn funky Was the beat of the fantastic Brass Monkey Licensed To Ill was an album so unique But as a Beastie fan, I had Paul's Boutique Again another Beastie Boys masterpiece With Shadrach and As For Janice What got me grooving and mum in a hump Was Hey Ladies and Shake Your Rump High Plains Drifter and Egg Man Just convinced me why I was a big fan I have Check Your Head and Hello Nasty Still need to get the two Hot Sauce Committee I loved their inspirational mix up of hip hop Loved it when Ad Rock would do 'Mmmm Drop' I regret never getting to see them play live And never will now that the genius MCA has died Taking a trip down my sweet memory lane I'm going to dig out my Beastie albums and listen again
