Torn between two worlds We remain apart No relationship for us to build No end no start As I carry on each day With you in my mind I keep asking myself Why is fate so very unkind? I try to forget you Act as though I don't care But it hurts so bad It's so hard to bear For you have someone else Whom you love far more Yet you want me too Why, how and what for? Feelings cannot say What I'm feeling now inside My dignity still stands And I still have my dear pride No longer can I go on Feeling how I do Not knowing what you want Whether what I need is you? Like a dying star I'm drifting alone somewhere As for me and you We're not quite there
