It's midnight, and my mood is blue
How did it come to this It cannot be true
My dearest cousin how didn't we see the signs
We blame ourselves as we look at the shrine
You look so different your face feels so cold
Your father, my uncle no words just hold
A family's pain all over again
Without you there it won't feel the same
What a waste of a life A loss for the earth
I light a candle for you and place it by the hearth
You must of been scared and felt so alone
But everyone you needed were right at home
Such a shock to us all when we got the call
I couldn't believe it It could not be true
It was around midnight But the sky was blue
