I know it's long but please read it all! :D
1. The night was as black as a sudden eclipse, The air was as cold as snowflakes on lips, Every winter, where the bubbling brook froze, The jet black raven came swooping- Swooping-swooping- The jet black raven came swooping, up to the blood red rose.
2. The old bed creaked as she sat down, Upon her pale face lay a desperate frown, As the shouts from downstairs rose to its peak, The tears came rolling- Rolling-rolling- The tears came rolling, down her bruised cheek.
3. As deadly black talons shifted into fingers, A cold-hearted demon in the forest lingers, On a needle like finger lay a crystal ring, Even death shivers in his presence- Presence-presence- Even death shivers in his presence, all behold the Shadow King.
4. As Alice pushed away the falling tears, Her only choice was to flee from her fears, Down the rickety stairs she lept, Silently past her blazing parents- Parents-parents- Silently past her blazing parents, out of the door she lept!
5. Through the frosty blades of grass she bounded, The heart in her chest thumped and pounded, As Alice's vision started to blur, A ghostly shiver ran down her spine- Spine-spine- A ghostly shiver ran down her spine for he was awaiting her.
6. His cloak was as black as an eagle's eye, His teeth were as white as the moon in the sky, His hair was a tangle of auburn vine, When Alice looked for her lover- Lover-lover- When Alice looked for her lover, among the trees of pine.
7. Underneath the looming branches, A pair of amber eyes glances, Quickly dashing from left to right, Watching them as they whisper- Whisper-whisper- Watching them as they whisper, through the secretive night.
8. "I know how you feel Alice - I'm an outcast too, But if we stay together, we'll see our problems through, One kiss my lovely sweetheart, If you'll be mine- Mine-mine- If you'll be mine then nothing can tear us apart.
9. Next morning as the sun came above the horizon line, Alice dashed away from her bedroom - towards the trees of pine, Past the bubbling brook that froze, All the way up to where she meets him- Him-him- All the way up to where she meets him - next to the blood red rose.
10. Quick as lightning, she was tied to a tree, "Now be a good girl - and don't get free, Don't worry! There's not long to wait, Until he comes flying to you- You-you- Until he comes flying to you, my beautiful bait.
11. Surrounded by people, but still alone, Her life flashed before her eyes - everything she'd ever known, As she he drew her last breath from her roped chest, A scream was advancing- Advancing-advancing- A scream was advancing for she could hear a raven's cry from the West.
12. As rough ropes tightened around her throat, Her life was cut off like a castle by a moat, The Shadow King - oblivious to the warning, Was unaware of the blood- Blood-blood- Was unaware of the blood that stained the cold white snow in the dawning.
13. A gunshot echoed from miles around, A black heap of feathers fell to the ground, Beside the two lovers the red rose weeped, One dream caught in the hands of fate- Fate-fate- One dream caught in the hands of fate, crimson blood onto the white snow seeped.
