The room was dark, it was after hours at the hospital. If it was any one other than donnie he wouldnt be allowed to visit at this time. The various small LED's around the room created a deep red glow on Donnie's face, shadow formed around his eyes and the only other light on his face came from the heart monitor reflecting off his glass eye. He stood over Tristan like a disappointed father stands over a son, almost paternal like he moved his hand over tristans brow and stroked back his dark hair. Everything but tristans chest, rising and sinking rhythmically, remained still. Donnie turned his attention to the bed side table. A glass of water sat on top of it and beside that, a small lamp. Donnie moved his hand under the shade and found the switch, he flicked it and light swam from the bulb and did what it could to fill the room. The change in lighting revealed more of the small bedroom. Donnie could now make out a picture of what must have been tristans family on the window ledge. An uncomfortable looking plastic chair holing tristan clothes sat on the other side of the bed and above this numerous pieces of medical equipment stood on their stands, most were either connected to Tristan or the wall or both.
