Love Can't Be At First Sight

Part 11
The next morning, I woke up with a joyful feeling of pride. I quickly got dressed, and called Mick. 'Oh, hi Mick, I was wondering if you wanna go for lunch this afternoon. How about, I meet you outside WagaMama's around one?'. Mick replied with 'Sure, that'll be great. See you then!'. 'Bye!'. It was only ten now so I decided to go grocery shopping and get a cab on the way home. When I reached home it was twenty-five to one so I decided to set off for WagaMama. Five minutes later, Mick was there. 'Hi Miri, shall we go inside?' he said, clutching my hand. We entered and sat at a table with quite a lot of privacy. I was glad about that. 'I was in town yesterday, Mick. Yourself?'. Mick gulped. 'Well I was just watching films with a mate and chilling.'. I pulled my eyebrows wide. 'Oh really,' I began, 'Then whats this photo of?'. I showed Mick the photo. 'Well, it's quite sad to talk about. It's my mum, shes ill and the doctors don't know what's wrong. I have to take good care of her, and when I go out, she has to go to the elderly home for an hour or two.'. I screamed inside. How awful I thought. 'Mick, I'm so sorry, I thought you were with another woman.'. Mick blinked. 'Don't worry about it sweetheart, as long as I've got you everything's fine.'. We ate our noodle-based dishes hungrily, chatting too. When we abandoned the restraunt, the streets were deserted. The only sound was the sound of fires blazing in houses. 'Im sorry,' Mick began, 'You thought I was with someone else.'. I shook my head furiously. 'No, no I'm sorry for thinking that. I understand now.'. I turned to leave but he ran back and kissed me on the lips.
