Jeremy stared at the enormous train, which pulled into the station, causing himself to cough and splutter because of the thick steam. The boy who was stood next to Jeremy introduced himself.

'Hello there, whats your name?'

Without hesitation, Jeremy said, 'Jeremy Thompson. Yourself?'

The boy replied with, 'Joe Bennet.'

Jeremy found the boy slightly odd, as he said nothing else throughout the journey. The journey was long and views of grassy green fields filled the windows. Jeremy was tired, after have being woken by the siren that morning, so he fell asleep half way through the journey. The other children were also unhappy, like Jeremy. He woke up to the sound of frustrated crowds fidgeting on the platform. The other children, who were staring out the windows, were picking who they would like to go home with. However, it didn't work like that unfortunately, and the children, including Jeremy, were going to be taken by some stranger. The train pulled up and the girls and boys picked up their bags. They stepped on the platform. The fussy lady, who had knocked harshly on Jeremy's door that morning, was queueing all the evacuees in a neat line. Jeremy took a good look at the unknown people. Talulah Richards, who had been on the train, was taken away by a kind-hearted couple first, with Joe Bennet. Child after child was chosen and taken home. But Jeremy. After 3 hours, Jeremy hadn't been chosen yet, and all the people had dissapeared.
