Seconds, minutes and hours passed but still nobody wanted poor Jeremy. He stood shivering in the freezing cold, looking gormless. Gradually, it started to rain and Jeremy's mackintosh was drenched. Suddenly, a blurry figure appeared in the foggy distance.
'Who's there?' questioned Jeremy to the fussy lady.
The blurry body came nearer and got clearer.
'Who is it? Hello?!' the fussy lady cried, confused.
The figure started to jog towards the two of them.
He said
'Sorry I am so late Jeremy! I'm Hansel. You are coming home with me today!
Jeremy smiled faintly and looked at the fussy woman in the corner of his eye.
'Oh Mr Hansel! I do apologise! Feel free to take Jeremy!'
Hansel picked up some of Jeremy's bags and beckoned him towards his cottage, tucked in cosily at the end of the long street.
