I put a brave face on for you all to see
The smiling polite young man expected of me
Can't you see my eyes don't smile at you anymore
Filled with a pain of betrayal they look to the floor
The edges of my facade are beginning to crack
Tears unshed aren't something I lack
Deaf to your lies racing by everyday
No longer going to let them get in my way
It's time to rid myself of this mask and cry
Then maybe I can be happy with a goodbye
Alone and naked to start again
At least I will be free from the pain
