9 December 2012
The sky is swallowed by a bulbous blue sun, pulsing with arduous flames
Mountain tops begin to melt and the clouds burst raining down
Burning rain falls with fragmented clouds like bombs on those below
The human earth cries with anguish and shakes with rage
Missiles erupt from the earth seeking out the sun while it still lives
Thousands of trails left behind mark their fiery assault against the blue screen
One by one the swollen sun drinks them in greedily
The skies are silent once more masked with blue oppression and fear
A flash of white their only warning as their world plunges into midnight
Above a broken scene is all they can see, shards of dim blue float in space
The sun has died it's corpse now a permanent reminder
White snow falls from its broken body and covers the land
The unending day and relentless heat is replaced with ever night and tundra
A nuclear winter is their prize from a solar war
