My Dearest Kate, we have been together only a short time, but I felt that it had been too long for you.
I could see how tired and withdrawn you were becoming, I just had to take action - I couldn’t bear the thought of losing you!
So I dug a nice big hole, my darling, and lovingly put you to rest there. Feeling the soil underneath my fingernails, connecting with the earth you were to lay in, it made me feel more a part of you than ever. Now I can always admire you, knowing that you will never leave me, knowing that you will always be here. Now you can be free to roam the earth..............
in my back garden.
(Inspired by finally planting my ‘Princess Kate’ Honeysuckle climbers this morning!!! They looked a little bit sad in their small pots from the garden centre... The name made me think about burying somebody though - I know, I know, best stay away from me when I’m holding a trowel and a pair of secateurs!!!!)
